Every time I look at this photo, I can't help but wondering how on earth you pulled this one off. And with that, I mean the depth of field, which is totally wicked. Everything below her waistline seems to be blurry, while everything above (while at the same distance from the lens) is perfectly sharp. But at the same time, the top of the photo is getting blurry again... I can't figure out how it was done, it's driving me nuts, and therefore, I give it 5 stars on impact

Other than that, the model's pose is ok (although at the same time not really astonishing), and I like the way how she looks down in the same angle as the stairs and stair-rail. The composition is good; I like the background, although perhaps the photo could've been cropped on the right side a little bit more to cut out the doorway / arch thingy.

The choice for B&W is a good one, in my opinion, since I think that this shot would've made far less impact if it had been a color-version.

All in all it's a very nice shot. While not overly visionary or original considering pose, composition, point of view or background (although each of these aspects is at least "average" with a tendency to "good"), this is greatly compensated by the focus and the contrast in sharpness / blur, which really draws attention and makes this very interesting to look at (again, and again, and again, until I figure out how it's done )
